Espresso Martini

Iconic, strong and smooth. There are so many twists out there on this cocktail from using different flavoured syrups or vodkas to serving it poured over ice-cream. We've stripped it back to it's purest and classic form, with only 3-ingredients - this velvety smooth cocktail comes together effortlessly and looks glamorous.

40ml vodka

20ml coffee liqueur (like Kahlula)

20ml espresso, fresh

Ice (for the shaker)

Coffee beans (to garnish)


  1. Prepare your fresh espresso shot. You want this fresh and hot (it gives the drink that beautiful frothy head).

  2. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Measure in the vodka, coffee liqueur and fresh espresso. Shake vigorously, then strain into your cocktail glass through a sieve. Garnish with 3x coffee beans.

Good to know

  • Some people like adding a simple sugar syrup in for a touch of sweetness. If this is you add in 20ml of simple sugar mix. You can also add in flavoured ones (such as salted caramel) for a twist.

  • Use decaf if you're caffeine sensitive
