Orange twist cocktail garnish

Jazz up cocktails or mocktails with an orange twist cocktail garnish. Perfect for negronis or an old fashioned. See the video below for a visual how-to

Time to prep : 5 minutes

Servings : 1 orange makes ~4 twists

1 orange

  1. Use a sharp knife to cut a strip of peel from the centre circumference of the orange (for the first twist)

  2. Neaten up the long and short sides of the strip to create a narrow, straight ribbon. Use the knife to carefully remove the majority of the pith so that just a fine porous layer remains, this will give us some structure and hold. Slice the ends on a diagonal

  3. Use your fingers to twist into a coil and rub back and forth for a few seconds to create a tight shape and allow the orange essence to release

  4. Garnish your drink and enjoy!
