Caramelised bananas stuffed with peanut butter and melted chocolate chips, topped with crunchy peanuts and a pinch of flaky sea salt. Quick, easy and delicious. Serve with greek yogurt or ice cream.
Time to prepare: 5 minutes Time to bake: 5 minutes
Serves: 1
Ingredients
1 ripe but firm banana
1 tbsp peanut butter
1 tbsp chocolate chips (or chopped chocolate)
1 tsp chopped roasted peanuts
Flaky sea salt, to finish
Serve with greek yogurt, vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
Method
Slice the banana in half lengthways down the middle.
Spoon the peanut butter over both halves and scatter over the chocolate chips, pressing them lightly into the peanut butter.
Place both halves in the air fryer basket (you can line it with some baking paper cut to size for easier cleanup).
Air fry at 180°C for 5 - 6 minutes, until the banana is soft and the chocolate has melted.
Remove carefully with tongs, sprinkle over chopped peanuts and a pinch of flaky sea salt before digging in.

Good to know:
To make this in the oven, bake for 10 - 12 minutes in a preheated fan oven at 160ºC.
Use a banana that’s ripe but not too soft, you want it to hold its shape in the air fryer.
You can swap peanut butter for almond or cashew butter, or use Nutella for a chocolatey version.
Add a drizzle of maple syrup or honey if you want it a little sweeter.
Delicious solo, or try topping it with granola or crushed biscuits for crunch.
